Unidentified armed men killed at least two people and abducted seven labourers in Balochistan's Kech district, while a police officer and a constable were seized during a separate armed blockade in Barkhan, according to police sources.

In the Kalatuk area of Kech district, unidentified armed men abducted seven labourers from the main highway, police said. The workers were reportedly on their way back to Turbat after working in Kalatuk when the gunmen stopped them, checked their identities, and took them away. Among the abducted were four labourers from Punjab and three Pashtuns.

The bullet-riddled body of one of the abducted Pashtun labourers, identified as Javed, was later recovered from the Surag area. Four Punjabi residents and two Pashtun labourers remain missing.

A local passerby, identified as Abdul Razzaq son of Dad Muhammad, was also killed after being caught in the firing during the incident. His body was handed over to his heirs after the completion of legal formalities.

Police and other law enforcement agencies launched a search operation in the area, but no trace of the six missing labourers had been found by the time of reporting.

In a separate incident in the Khatta Chowki area of Barkhan, armed men set up a blockade on the road and targeted a police party. According to police sources, the attackers opened fire on the police vehicle and then abducted DSP Mureed Bugti and Constable Rasool Bakhsh Wagha.

Following the incident, police and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched an operation to recover the abducted personnel. they found the dead body of DSP Mureed Bugti near mountains range ,Constable safely recovered. Further investigation is underway, and no formal statement had been issued by the authorities so far.

The incidents come amid mounting concern over the security situation in Balochistan, where abductions and targeted attacks on labourers and law enforcement personnel have repeatedly raised alarm among residents and officials.
