A series of attacks on security forces and other violent incidents were reported across Balochistan on Monday, according to local sources, although details remained unconfirmed and no official statements had been issued by the time of publication.

In Kech district, local sources reported that armed men had blocked a highway near Kalatuk and were stopping and searching vehicles, and that an advancing security-forces convoy came under fire. Intense gunfire was reported in the area. The accounts could not be independently verified, and no official confirmation or claim of responsibility had emerged.

In Panjgur, local sources said an improvised explosive device struck a security convoy on Airport Road, a sensitive part of the district. Reports of casualties circulated but were not officially confirmed. Forces were said to have cordoned off the area and begun a search operation.

Separately, unverified local reports said a former union council chairman, Saifullah Domki, was wounded by unidentified gunmen near Bakhtiarabad in Sibi and taken to hospital, while in Khuzdar four people were reported to have been abducted along with their vehicle by armed men. Neither report could be confirmed.

In Quetta, police said a young man identified as Ahmad Yar was shot dead during a dispute at the Hazarganji truck stand the previous day. According to police, the assailant fled the scene and an investigation was under way.

The reports come during a sharp escalation of violence in Balochistan. The Banned Balochistan Liberation Army claimed dozens of attacks on convoys, checkpoints and supply routes across the province in the first half of July, and both the BLA and the Banned Balochistan Liberation Front have intensified their campaigns through 2026. Casualty figures in such incidents are frequently disputed between militant groups and the state, and independent verification from the region is often difficult.
