At least two people were killed and two others sustained injuries in an explosion that occurred in the Hanna Orak area of Balochistan on Sunday, official sources confirmed.
According to initial reports, the blast took place in a populated locality, triggering panic among residents. Security forces and law enforcement agencies rushed to the scene immediately after the incident and cordoned off the area for investigation.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, where their condition is stated to be stable. However, officials have yet to confirm the nature of the explosion ; whether it was an improvised explosive device (IED) planted at the site or an accidental detonation.
A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Balochistan Dispatch that a thorough investigation has been launched to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the blast. "Forensic teams have been called to collect evidence from the crime scene," he said.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. The deceased have not yet been identified, and further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.

Former Afghan Commander Shot Dead in Quetta
A former local commander from Afghanistan’s Kandahar province, Haji Wurur Achakzai, was killed in a firing incident in Quetta city on Sunday.
According to sources, Achakzai had relocated to Pakistan and settled in Quetta after the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. He was shot by unidentified assailants in the city.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and collected evidence. An investigation into the killing has been launched, though no arrests have been reported so far.
