PANJGUR/WASHUK – A total of nine people lost their lives and four others sustained injuries in two separate traffic accidents in Panjgur and Washuk districts on monday, police confirmed.

First Accident: Guran, Panjgur

In Panjgur's Guran area, a horrific collision occurred between a 2000-model Iranian vehicle and an Agzio car, killing five people on the spot, including four women, according to police sources. Two young children were critically injured.

The deceased include Jamshid, son of Ubaidullah. All victims belonged to the Kahda Abdul Hakim Bazaar area of Panjgur's Parom tehsil. The injured children were shifted to a hospital for emergency medical care, where their condition is reported to be critical.

Second Accident: Shamshi, Washuk

In a separate incident near Shamshi in Washuk district, a vehicle carrying workers on their way to pack dates lost control and overturned, according to sources. Three people died on the spot, and three others were injured, including a young child.

The injured were shifted to Shamshi BHU for treatment. One of the injured succumbed to his injuries during treatment, raising the death toll to four. The remaining two injured individuals were discharged after receiving medical aid.

The accidents have cast a pall of grief over the affected areas. Police have launched further investigations into both incidents. Authorities have urged motorists to exercise caution on the province's roads, particularly in mountainous and remote areas.
