PANJGUR, Pakistan – Security forces eliminated five suspected armed terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan's Panjgur district, the military's media wing, ISPR, confirmed on Wednesday.

According to the Director General of ISPR, the operation was launched based on credible intelligence regarding militant presence in the area. During the intense exchange of fire, five heavily armed suspects were neutralized. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the scene.

Authorities have described the operation as a significant blow to militant networks operating in the region. Security forces remain deployed in the area to conduct follow-up searches and ensure no facilitators escape.

No group has immediately claimed the slain individuals, and official identification is underway. Local residents have reported a heavy security presence in the vicinity following the operation.

This is a developing story. Further details are awaited.
