Balochistan witnessed two major acts of sabotage on Wednesday, as unknown militants targeted a key gas pipeline and a high-voltage electricity transmission tower, disrupting essential utilities across multiple districts.

A sabotage attack on a natural gas pipeline has severely affected supply in at least six districts, including Kolpur, Mach, Mastung, Kalat, Pishin, and Ziarat. According to sources, explosives were used to blow up the pipeline, causing a complete suspension of gas flow to these areas. Pressure fluctuations are also expected in parts of Quetta, raising concerns of further supply disruptions.

Separately, in the Chhatar area of Dera Murad Jamali, Naseerabad, unidentified attackers targeted a 220-KV high-transmission power tower, which is part of the system supplying electricity from Ouch to Punjab and Sindh. The tower was destroyed in a powerful explosion, raising fears of load-shedding and grid instability in the affected regions.

Authorities have launched investigations into both incidents, though no group has claimed responsibility so far. Security forces have been deployed to assess the damage and begin restoration work.
