At least two people were killed and 11 others injured in separate road accidents in Balochistan, officials said, while two people died by suicide in unrelated incidents across the province.
In Turbat, two people were killed and four others injured when a Zamyad pickup collided with a tractor in the Kesak area along the CPEC highway in Kech district. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital, where the condition of some was said to be serious. Rescue teams reached the site following the collision.
In a separate accident in the Surab area, seven people were injured when a vehicle overturned after one of its tyres burst. The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Officials said poor road conditions and worn tyres continue to contribute to frequent accidents on the province's highways.
In two unrelated incidents, a sanitation worker died after falling from a building on the Lasbela University campus, while a young man died by suicide in Dera Murad Jamali, officials said. Police in both areas said investigations were under way.
Balochistan continues to record a high number of road casualties, with authorities repeatedly citing unsafe vehicles, unfenced highways and inadequate emergency response as contributing factors.
