Three Excise Department personnel who were abducted by unidentified armed men near Dhadar on the Dalbandin-Taftan highway have been safely recovered near Mach.
According to police sources, the recovered personnel have been handed over to the relevant authorities for initial medical examination and necessary procedures, while further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
It should be noted that earlier, unidentified armed men had briefly attacked an Excise Department checkpost at Dhadar on the Dalbandin-Taftan highway during a blockade. The attackers reportedly took the three personnel along with two government vehicles and government-issued weapons.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and launched a search operation. The three personnel were subsequently recovered safely near Mach.
Police sources said investigations are continuing into the identity of the attackers, their escape routes, and other aspects of the incident, while efforts are also under way to recover the government vehicles and weapons.
