The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has expressed deep concern over reports that Noor Ahmed Lehri, father of National Party leader Yasmeen Lehri, was abducted at gunpoint by unidentified individuals on 13 July 2026 from Hussainabad in Kachhi district, Balochistan.

In a statement, HRCP said the authorities must take immediate steps to establish Mr Lehri's whereabouts and ensure his safe recovery. The commission called for a prompt, transparent and impartial investigation into the incident, and demanded that those responsible be held accountable in accordance with the law.
