The three-day sit-in staged by the Sindh, Balochistan Hari Abadkhar Alliance, protesting inadequate canal water supply for agricultural land in Balochistan, has come to an end following successful negotiations with a high-level committee from Sindh's Irrigation and Administration Department.

The protest camp had been led by alliance leaders, including Mir Hassan Khan Shahhalni, alongside other office-bearers of the alliance, who staged the sit-in to press the Sindh government for a firm commitment on the timely and adequate release of canal water to farmers in Balochistan.

A negotiating committee comprising senior irrigation officials and district administration representatives held detailed talks with the alliance leadership over the course of the protest. After a thorough review of the Hari Abadkhar Alliance's demands, the two sides reached a consensus, prompting alliance leaders to announce an end to the sit-in.

Speaking on the occasion, the alliance leadership thanked the farmers of Balochistan for their unity and sustained participation in the protest, describing the outcome as a joint achievement of the Hari Abadkhar Alliance and the local community. They said the successful negotiations demonstrated the strength of collective action and expressed confidence that the government would honor its commitments on water distribution going forward.

The protest had drawn significant attention from farming communities across the region, who have long raised concerns over irregular canal water supply affecting agricultural output in Balochistan.
