A woman gave birth to quintuplets at a private hospital in Quetta, in what hospital administrators are calling a rare and joyful event.

The newborns three girls and two boys were delivered by cesarean section, according to hospital officials. Both the mother and all five babies are reported to be in stable condition, with the infants placed under close observation in a special care unit as a precaution. Officials said the family already had three children before this delivery, bringing the total number of children to eight. Doctors said the babies would remain under specialized neonatal monitoring for the next several days as a standard precaution for multiple births. Hospital staff credited the successful delivery to coordinated care from a specialist medical team.
