A city police station was set on fire in Kharan on Sunday's overnight, as unconfirmed reports described a large group of armed men moving through the Balochistan town, according to accounts and footage circulating on social media.

Images and video shared online appeared to show the Kharan City Police Station in flames. The Balochistan Dispatch could not independently verify the wider circumstances of the incident.

According to unverified accounts, a large number of armed men entered the town late at night and took control of the police station, detaining officers on duty, setting parts of the building and official records alight, and seizing weapons.
