DERA BUGTI, BALOCHISTAN: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti visited his native area of northern Dera Bugti, where he met tribal elders and members of the local community and discussed their concerns and the overall situation in the region.
During the visit, Bugti held traditional Balochi *haal-ahwaal* with tribal elders and constituents, interacting directly with residents and listening to complaints concerning various government departments.
The chief minister took immediate notice of several public grievances and issued on-the-spot directives to officials for resolving many of the issues. He instructed government officers to make public service their foremost priority.
Bugti said resolving public problems at the local level could help residents avoid the difficulties and expenses associated with travelling to the provincial capital, Quetta.
He said the provincial government was working to improve governance in remote areas of Balochistan and establish effective mechanisms for resolving public complaints locally.
Speaking about education, Bugti said hundreds of previously closed schools across Balochistan had been reopened and made operational under the provincial government. He described education as the foundation for the development of the country, society and families.
The chief minister also spoke about the security situation in the province, saying operations by security forces against militant groups were essential for maintaining peace.
He said militants had lost their humanity by targeting unarmed civilians, while the sacrifices of security forces in efforts to restore peace in Balochistan were unforgettable.
Referring to Independence Day celebrations, Bugti said the nation had not forgotten its martyrs and paid tribute to those who had sacrificed their lives for the country.
The tribal elders expressed gratitude to the chief minister for visiting the area and listening directly to their concerns.
They said the implementation of large-scale development projects in previously neglected areas was an achievement of the current provincial government. They also said the impact of government initiatives in the health and education sectors was becoming increasingly visible alongside ongoing development projects.
