Four people, including one woman, were killed and nine others injured in a traffic accident on the Khuzdar-Wadh National Highway near Drakhala Badrang, police said.
According to police, the accident occurred when two Toyota Corolla vehicles collided head-on. The impact was severe enough to badly damage both vehicles.
Rescue teams and local residents reached the scene shortly after the accident was reported and assisted in pulling the injured from the wreckage. All injured were transported by ambulance to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Wadh, where they received emergency medical treatment. Hospital sources said several of the injured were in critical condition and were subsequently shifted to Khuzdar for further treatment.
DSP Wadh Khalid Hussain confirmed the accident and said police have launched an investigation. He appealed to the public to follow traffic laws while traveling and avoid unnecessary speeding.
