QUETTA: August 13, 2026 – Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, held a detailed interactive session with meritorious students selected for higher education scholarships at various universities across Pakistan, reaffirming his government’s commitment to youth empowerment and educational development.
During the meeting, the students engaged in an open dialogue with the Chief Minister, discussing a wide range of issues including developmental projects, governance reforms, and challenges facing the province. A lengthy question-and-answer session allowed the students to share their concerns and aspirations directly with the provincial leader.
Addressing the gathering, CM Bugti highlighted that the scholarship recipients, hailing from diverse districts of Balochistan, were selected purely on merit—a move that guarantees a bright academic future for the province’s youth. He noted that a majority of these students belong to underprivileged and middle-class families, making the initiative a vital step toward socio-economic uplift.
The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to the Punjab government and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for their continued support in facilitating admissions, tuition, and hostel fees for Balochistan students in Punjab’s top universities. He described this inter-provincial cooperation as a model of solidarity and mutual progress.
CM Bugti urged the students to adopt discipline and hard work as their guiding principles during their academic journeys. He strongly advised them to steer clear of any anti-state elements or propaganda, emphasizing that their primary duty is to fulfill their parents’ expectations and contribute positively to society.
“There is a clear difference between perception and reality. Anti-state actors often exploit the narrative of unbalanced development to negatively influence young minds,” he warned. He called on students to remain vigilant against such elements and reaffirmed that Pakistan was created to endure forever and will continue to stand firm against all odds.
“Those who dream of dividing Pakistan are living in fools’ paradise,” the Chief Minister asserted. He reminded the students that wherever they go, they must act as ambassadors of Pakistan, promoting patriotism and the spirit of national unity.
Concluding his address, CM Sarfraz Bugti expressed hope that the province’s youth would excel in their studies and emerge as responsible citizens, committed to the progress and prosperity of both Balochistan and the nation as a whole.
