Quetta, August 15, 2026 – At least two women were killed and two others, including a father and daughter, were injured when unidentified tribal gunmen opened fire on a vehicle in the Sigi area of Killa Abdullah district, Balochistan.
According to police, the victims were residents of Karachi who had arrived in Tehsil Gulistan two days earlier on business. The attack occurred when their vehicle failed to stop at a checkpoint or a tribal barricade, prompting a local armed group to open fire.
The deceased women were shifted to Abdul Rehman Zai Hospital, while the critically injured were transferred to Trauma Centre Quetta. Police confirmed that the Sigi area is considered a "no-go zone" for outsiders due to ongoing tribal feuds.
No case has been registered so far. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
