An explosion partially damaged an electricity transmission tower within the limits of the Khan Kot police station in Naseerabad district, police said.

According to police, unidentified men had planted explosives at the base of the tower. The blast caused partial damage to the structure.

A heavy police contingent reached the site soon after being informed, cordoned off the area and collected evidence. Police said a search for the suspects was under way and that further legal proceedings had begun.
