QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti has announced that Quetta will host a grand, international-scale Islamic calligraphy exhibition titled "Bayan-ul-Marsoos" on May 9 and 10 next year.
He made these remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the "Rasool-e-Rahmat" calligraphy exhibition in Quetta. The Chief Minister stated that the government of Balochistan will fully sponsor the upcoming mega event, which will witness participation from renowned calligraphers and artists across the Islamic world, Turkey, and other countries.
Key Highlights of the Announcement:
Global Event in Quetta: CM Bugti noted that holding such prestigious events in August and planning a global exhibition demonstrates Balochistan’s capability and resolve to host international-standard programs. He designated Serena Hotels as the host venue for the international event, acknowledging their pioneering role.
Theme and Dates: The international exhibition will be held on May 9–10, 2027, under the title "Bayan-ul-Marsoos", marking dates historically tied to Pakistan's major triumphs.
Message of Peace: Emphasizing the cultural inclination of the province, the Chief Minister said the event aims to convey a global message from Quetta that its people love the arts, peace, and hold a deep attachment to Islamic calligraphy.
Defense, National Security, and Regional Stability
Turning to national and regional affairs, CM Bugti underscored that Pakistan's international stature and prestige are on the rise. He remarked that recent defense cooperation between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the broader Islamic world reflects this evolving geopolitical reality, asserting that "this defense cooperation is not for any aggression, but strictly for self-defense."
Commenting on the security situation within the province, the Chief Minister criticized elements attempting to derail regional progress. He stated that a limited faction utilizing violence is dragging Baloch people into a futile conflict that ultimately harms local infrastructure, commerce, and livelihoods.
Unstoppable Journey of Success
Reiterating national resilience, CM Bugti declared:
"No power in the world can halt Pakistan's journey toward a resounding victory, and the spirit and unity displayed by the nation are a source of immense pride."
He lauded the dedicated services of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, President Asim Ali Zardari, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, noting that the positive impacts of Pakistan's elevated global standing are strongly felt by the overseas Pakistani community as well.
The ceremony concluded with the Chief Minister expressing gratitude to calligrapher Wasil Shahid and the Serena Hotels administration, offering prayers for Pakistan's continued prosperity and global honor.
