PM Shehbaz Calls for 'Grand Dialogue' to Resolve Balochistan's Issues, Vows First Right of Resources for Locals

QUETTA/ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the closing ceremony of the four-day Balochistan National Workshop in Quetta on Friday, reiterating the government's commitment to resolving the province's issues through dialogue and emphasizing that its people have the "first right" to its natural wealth.

Call for Grand Dialogue

Interacting with notables and political leadership, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for a "grand dialogue" to address all genuine grievances through peaceful means. He stated the government is ready to listen and resolve legitimate concerns, welcoming those willing to abandon violence and return to the "right path".

Resources Belong to Balochistan's People

PM Shehbaz declared that Balochistan is Pakistan's richest province. Addressing local notables and religious leaders, he asserted that the province's minerals and metals belong to the people. He stressed that while capital and expertise are needed to extract this wealth, the people of Balochistan must be the "primary beneficiaries".
