High above the rugged landscape of Chagai, Balochistan, lies the Saindak Copper-Gold Mine ; one of the region’s most significant mineral projects.

Located near Saindak town, the site is known for deposits of copper, gold and silver.

The project is operated by China’s Metallurgical Corporation of China, or MCC, under a lease agreement with the Government of Pakistan.

For decades, Saindak has remained an important part of Balochistan’s mineral economy, while also highlighting the vast natural resources beneath the province’s landscape.
