Mastung, August 14, 2026 – A complete shutter-down strike paralyzed Mastung on the eve of Independence Day, with all businesses, markets, and government offices remaining closed today.

From Mastung Bazaar to Shaheed Safar Khan Chowk and the New Bus Stand, every commercial center was shut. Government offices also remained non-operational, leaving the city deserted and silent.

Residents reported an atmosphere of fear and unease across the town, with normal life brought to a standstill.

Similar strikes have been observed in Mastung on August 14 in previous years as well.
