QUETTA / ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari held a high-level meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday, where he reiterated the federal government’s commitment to the province’s peace, progress, and public welfare.
During the briefing on Balochistan’s overall law and order and ongoing development initiatives, President Zardari stressed that effective coordination between federal and provincial governments is vital for the province's stability. He emphasized that Balochistan, being Pakistan’s largest province by area, deserves special attention and resources.
"The nefarious designs of externally-backed terrorists trying to hinder Balochistan’s progress will be foiled at all costs," the President asserted, adding that "the day is not far when terrorism will be completely eliminated from Balochistan."
