A visually impaired man, a resident of Zain Loti, died after falling into a large drain, sustaining a broken leg and back injuries. He was brought to the emergency department of Indus Hospital Sui on Tuesday, where doctors confirmed he had died before arrival.
According to the hospital, the patient was received in the emergency ward, where the doctor on duty carried out an immediate examination and an ECG, which confirmed that he had been brought in dead. The medical staff said the patient showed no signs of life or breathing on arrival, making resuscitation medically impossible.
The hospital stated that had the patient shown any sign of life, the doctors and medical staff would have made every possible effort to save him; however, he had already passed away before reaching the facility.
