Three New Additional Judges Appointed to Balochistan High Court

President of Pakistan has appointed three new Additional Judges to the High Court of Balochistan, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice on Tuesday.

The appointments have been made under Article 197 read with clause ( of Article 175A of the Constitution.

The New Appointees)

The following individuals have been appointed as Additional Judges for a period of one year, effective from the date they take oath:

1. Mr. Muhammad Rauf Atta – Advocate Supreme Court

2. Mr. Allah Dad Roshan – District & Sessions Judge

3. Mr. Abdul Qayyum Lehri – District & Sessions Judge

The appointments bring together both legal practitioners and experienced judicial officers from the district judiciary.

Mr. Muhammad Rauf Atta joins the High Court bench from private legal practice as an Advocate of the Supreme Court, while Mr. Allah Dad Roshan and Mr. Abdul Qayyum Lehri have been elevated from their positions as District & Sessions Judges.

Official Process

The notification, issued by Secretary Raja Naeem Akbar, has been circulated to all relevant authorities including the President's Secretariat, Prime Minister's Office, Judicial Commission of Pakistan, Supreme Court, Federal Constitutional Court, and the High Court of Balochistan.

Copies have also been sent to the Governor and Chief Secretary of Balochistan, the Accountant General Balochistan, and other concerned officials.

The appointments will strengthen the judicial capacity of the Balochistan High Court, which handles legal matters across the province. The new judges will serve on an additional basis for one year, after which their appointments may be reviewed.
