QUETTA – The three-day Balochistan Model United Nations (BMUN) 2026 conference concluded on Sunday at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), bringing together students from across the province to engage in dialogue, debate, and policy-making on critical national and global issues.

Organized in collaboration with the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBOIT) under Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti's vision for youth empowerment, the conference provided a platform for students to showcase their leadership, research, and communication skills.

🎤 Key Speakers and Vision

Addressing the closing ceremony as chief guest, BBOIT Vice Chairman Bilal Khan Kakar emphasized that Balochistan's youth possess immense talent and potential, urging them to channel their abilities constructively for the province's and country's progress. He stressed that equipping young people with modern education and practical experience is essential to prepare them for future challenges. Kakar praised BMUN for offering students a platform to develop leadership, research, and communication skills.

BBOIT Chief Executive Officer Qaim Lashari, speaking at the inaugural ceremony, called youth the "future and most valuable asset" of Balochistan. He reaffirmed the Board's commitment to providing guidance and support for youth to enter the business world, implement their ideas, and utilize investment opportunities.

Balochistan's Secretary of Education Lal Jan Jaffar underscored the importance of dialogue and debate among students, stating that such activities are vital for intellectual and academic growth. He noted that BMUN participants had proven their ability to shoulder future responsibilities.
