A landmine explosion near the Pat Feeder canal in Dera Bugti has killed a boy, police sources said.

According to police, the blast occurred in the vicinity of the Pat Feeder area of Dera Bugti district. A boy died in the explosion, the sources said. His identity and age have not yet been confirmed.

No group has claimed responsibility. Dera Bugti and the wider Kachhi/Pat Feeder belt have seen repeated landmine explosions in recent years, with local residents and rights advocates repeatedly calling for a systematic clearance of unexploded ordnance from residential areas, farmland and roadside paths in the district.
