Unidentified armed men set three vehicles on fire late Thursday night on the N-40 Quetta-Taftan highway, including a trailer, a 10-wheeler truck, and a fuel tanker.

According to transport sources, the attackers stopped the vehicles near the Taftan-Nowkundi stretch, doused them with fuel, and fled before security forces could respond. No casualties were reported.

Security forces have launched a search operation in the area. No group has so far claimed responsibility.

Traders have demanded government action and compensation for the losses, warning of possible protests if their concerns go unaddressed.
