The central spokesperson for the National Party (NP) has rejected claims circulating in sections of the press and on social media that party leaders held covert contacts with political figures in Islamabad aimed at undermining NP's standing in Balochistan.

In a statement issued in Quetta, the spokesperson said a deliberate campaign is underway to portray recent meetings between NP's central leadership and Islamabad based political figures as compromising alleging that the party is being used as a channel to weaken its own influence in the province through backdoor arrangements.

The spokesperson dismissed the allegations as baseless, saying NP's politics have never rested on propaganda or a negative agenda, and that such attempts to cast doubt on the party's leadership will not succeed.

The statement added that NP's meetings with senior leadership in Islamabad clearly refute claims that the party is being used to apply pressure tactics against Balochistan. It described the engagements as democratic in nature, aimed solely at pursuing a political solution, and said they reflect constructive steps intended to bring peace, stability, and public confidence to the province.
