Quetta, 07 August 2026, The Government of Balochistan has issued a province-wide directive to commemorate the signing of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement between Pakistan, Turkiye, and Saudi Arabia, ordering all government departments to display the national flags of the three nations and illuminate official buildings in green and red for three days starting tomorrow.

According to a notification issued by the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) on Friday, all government buildings, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, and attached departments are required to prominently hoist the flags of Pakistan, Turkiye, and Saudi Arabia at main roads, government premises, and designated public places from 08th to 10th August 2026.

The notification, marked "Most Urgent," further directs that all government buildings falling under the administrative domain of the provincial secretaries, commissioners, deputy commissioners, and other key officials be lit in green and red, alternating between buildings ; during nighttime throughout the three-day period.

The directive, issued in compliance with the instructions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, has been circulated to all administrative secretaries, the Inspector General of Police Balochistan, all commissioners, deputy commissioners, the Chairman of the Balochistan Development Authority, the Chief Minister's Inspection Team, and the Balochistan Public Service Commission, among others.

The Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, signed recently between the three brotherly nations, is seen as a landmark step toward enhanced defence and security cooperation in the region.

All concerned officers have been urged to ensure compliance with the directive on top priority.
