Two suspected robbers were arrested in injured condition after an alleged encounter with police on the Dera Allah Yar bypass, police said.

According to SSP Muhammad Maroof Usman, the men were heading towards the city near Habibullah Mor, allegedly to commit a crime, when a police party from the Dera Allah Yar police station intercepted them. The suspects opened fire on the police, who returned fire and wounded two of them, the SSP said.

The injured men, identified by police as Junaid Mugheri and Fayaz Chhalgari, were shifted to the DHQ Hospital. Police said two TT pistols and a motorcycle were recovered from them.
